INDIGENOUS PHILANTHROPY SPECIAL FEATURE
We are excited to announce Alliance Magazine’s Special Feature on Indigenous Philanthropy to be published on March 2020. IFIP is partnering with Alliance Magazine, the leading magazine for philanthropy and social investment read by over 25,000 philanthropy practitioners worldwide. This ground-breaking Special Feature will be guest edited by Mónica Alemán (Miskito) of the Ford Foundation and Manaia King (Maori) of the J R McKenzie Trust and will include the experience of IFIP members and Indigenous organizations as guest authors. The Special Feature will focus on how philanthropy can effectively place equity and inclusion of Indigenous issues at the center of philanthropy and social impact investments. Be on the lookout in March 2020 for the special feature!

Indigenous Led Funds Working Group April 16, 2020 – IFIP’s Indigenous Led Funds Amplifying event. IFIP is inviting donors to join IFIP’s Indigenous Led Funds Amplifying event to meet, engage, and celebrate Indigenous Led Funds during the UNPFII 2020. Location: TBD, New York. Indigenous Funders Convening November 11-13, 2020 –This convening will be designed to strengthen alliances and collaboration within the donor community. It is an opportunity to co-create a shared vision on how we can best strategize and collaborate on our mutual support of Indigenous Peoples across issues and movements.
