Call for Request for Proposals To conduct Funding Trend Analysis on Indigenous Peoples Philanthropy
Scope of Work
As part of IFIP’s strategic goal to expand the sphere of funders and collaborative action among funders and Indigenous Peoples to support and advance issues of importance to Indigenous Peoples, IFIP is commissioning the production of global analysis to determine the level of funding to Indigenous Peoples between 2016-2019. This analysis will use a combination of existing grant data and data collected directly from donors. The report will look at philanthropic and other sources of funding like international development to identify the priorities and types of support. This report will also assess the level of funding awarded to organizations led by Indigenous Peoples vs. non-Indigenous-led organizations. While similar reports and analyses regarding funding to Indigenous Peoples exist, none to date provide an analysis on a global scale. In addition to the global funding analysis, two smaller, ancillary reports specifically focused on funding Indigenous Women and in support of Indigenous Territories (for the same years 2016-2019) are also included in this Scope of work.
Intended Outcomes
All three reports will provide timely and strategic priorities to inform funders of the state of funding to Indigenous Peoples, publish and promote research and data-informed advocacy, and amplify Indigenous Philanthropy.
Open to private consultants and university research organizations, with this type of data analysis experience. Ideal experience includes researching Indigenous Peoples and knowledge of the philanthropic sector, particularly on an international scale.
