Photojournalist and filmmaker, Rucha Chitnis, produced this inspiring video called Rising for Our Mother, which features the wisdom and perspective of Indigenous climate defenders, who shared their vision on climate justice. “True climate justice is taking into consideration the rights of the many, rather than the few. We have to talk about gender justice and the restoration of women’s roles as leaders in our community to stop the violence against our people,” said Eriel Deranger, Executive Director of Indigenous Climate Action.
