Keisha Whitehair

Program Associate, Wellspring Philanthropic Fund

Keisha brings several years of experience working at the intersections of social justice and health equity to her work as the Program Associate for the Women’s Rights Program at Wellspring Philanthropic Fund. In her role, she supports portfolios of work focused on advancing reproductive equity, freedom from violence, economic justice, and strengthening the women’s rights ecosystem. Before joining Wellspring, Keisha was at the Open Society Foundations where she worked to advance the health and rights of communities harmed by punitive drug policies and build greater inclusion of Indigenous communities in this work. She previously worked at Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF)/Doctors without Borders where she supported several MSF programs focused on research, innovation, and advocacy. Prior to that, she worked in Nicaragua for a global health and sustainable development organization.

 

Keisha is a proud citizen of the Navajo Nation where she was born and raised. She holds a BA in Human Rights from Columbia University and is completing an MPH in Population and Family Health with a certificate in Health and Human Rights from Columbia University.
