Maurice Montoya
Membership Coordinator
Maurice Montoya is a Chicano multidisciplinary artist, coordinator, and organizer engaged with Chicanx, Indigenous, including Indigiqueer and Two Spirit movements across Sacramento, Stockton, and San Francisco. A first-generation Sacramento State University alumnus with a calling in Ethnic Studies, Maurice has facilitated summits and other events for Shingle Springs Band of Miwok Indians and City of Altars while supporting Alaskan Native and Native American communities through cultural workshops. His experience coordinating projects and memberships with Stockton Service Corps and Shingle Springs TANF Program directly supports his role as Membership Coordinator at IFIP, where his goal is to advance his skills supporting Indigenous peoples. As a Membership Coordinator, Maurice is excited to support IFIP’s mission of shifting power, mobilizing resources, and building meaningful memberships and partnerships to create inclusive and equitable philanthropy for Indigenous Peoples worldwide.
