Rosalie Nezien
Program Officer, Foundation for a Just Society
Rosalie has worked extensively in philanthropy and international development. Before joining FJS, she was a senior program officer at American Jewish World Service working on natural resource rights and civil political rights in West and Central Africa. Rosalie also worked at Plan International, BØRNEfonden, and the Firelight Foundation, where she supported grassroots organizations responding to HIV/AIDS in Eastern and Southern Africa. Rosalie holds a master’s degree in organizational management from the School for International Training, a master’s degree in French from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and a bachelor’s degree from the University of Ouagadougou. Originally from Burkina Faso, Rosalie is involved with the African immigrant community in Harlem and is an active bridge builder to resources, seeding ideas and discussing opportunities with feminist activists and fellow Africans.
