The conference is designed for funders, philanthropists, donors, Indigenous Led Funds, Indigenous community representatives, and other actors in the philanthropic and social impact sectors. It’s an excellent opportunity to learn, share, and collaborate on key global issues, particularly those affecting Indigenous Peoples.
The conference will be held in Naivasha, Kenya, approximately 1.5 hour drive from Nairobi, at Enashipai Resort and Spa from February 18 – 21, 2025. The pre conference will be held between the 17-18 February 2025.
The pre-conference events are on invite only and will consist of two parallel gatherings: 4th Gathering of Indigenous-Led Funds (The Global Alliance of Indigenous-Led Funds); and a half-day Indigenous Philanthropy Institute.
The registration takes place on Eventbrite. We accept major credit cards and PayPal. Please select your preferred payment method during the registration process. Make sure to complete the registration process early in advance.
You can get full refund up to 30 days before the conference.
Yes, we recommend staying at the conference venue, Enashipai Resort, where we have negotiated special rates for attendees. Additional accommodation options in the Naivasha area are available if needed, but we recommend booking early as space is limited. Most international attendees will need a Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) to enter Kenya. You can apply for an Electronic Travel Authorization online before your trip. Be sure to check your country’s specific requirements well in advance. It takes about 3 days to process but you are advised to apply early. Yes, the conference will have interpretation in three languages English, French and Spanish and we will offer interpretation services for all sessions.
Absolutely! The agenda has networking sessions incorporated, including dinner receptions and prolonged breaks to help participants connect, collaborate, and build meaningful partnerships.
We are closely monitoring global health developments and will follow all international and local health guidelines to ensure a safe environment for our attendees. We recommend that all participants stay updated on health requirements such as vaccinations , testing, and travel advisories. As you prepare for your travel to Kenya and return to your home country, all travelers are advised to check entry/exit requirements and precautions from your country's health agency, such as CDC, prior to departure. Â

Entry Requirement for KenyaÂ
- Mandatory: Travelers arriving from or transiting (for more than 12 hours) through Yellow Fever-endemic countries must present a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate (Yellow Card).

 Returning to Your Home CountryÂ
- Some countries require a valid Yellow Fever vaccination certificate from travelers arriving from Kenya or other Yellow Fever-endemic regions.Â
- Travelers without a certificate may be subject to quarantine or other health measures upon arrival in their home country.Â
- We strongly recommend checking with your national health authorities or immigration office for the latest requirements.Â
When to Get Vaccinated?Â
At least 14 days before travel to ensure immunity and compliance with travel regulations. The International Certificate of Vaccination (Yellow Card) becomes valid 14 days after vaccination and remains valid for life.Â

Yes, we provided limited number of scholarships for those in need. The application deadline was October 30th, 2024 .
We recommend packing comfortable walking shoes (the conference venue has expansive grounds and area to walk), and a light jacket for cooler evenings. The weather in Naivasha in February is warm, with highs of 26 degrees Celsius (78F) during the day and lows of 8 degrees Celsius (47F) at night. Please pack appropriately for your comfort.
Don’t forget your travel essentials, such as adapters for Kenyan electrical outlets (UK-style plugs), sunscreen, mosquito repellant and any personal medications. The resort also has recreational facilities, so feel free to pack swimwear and gym wear if you’d like to take advantage of these amenities.
